Il y a du nouveau concernant Nvidia et la possible venue d’une tablette dotée d’un processeur Tegra 4 de prime abord, et une tablette encore plus puissante avec un Tegra 5 (pour 2014).

Sur un site chinois, deux images ont été trouvées et illustrent ce qui pourrait être la « Tegra Tab ». Mais, Nvidia est bien connu pour ne pas répondre des rumeurs et spéculations, donc, nous n’avons aucune confirmation en ce qui concerne la véracité de ces images.

Tegra Note Premium, la première tablette Nvidia se dévoile en images ?

Ce que l’on en dit à l’heure actuelle : le fournisseur pourrait faire appel à la société Shenzhen Homecare Technology pour mener à bien la conception et la fabrication de sa tablette. De plus, Nvidia a déposé la marque « Tab Tegra » en avril.

Si rien n’est sûr à 100% concernant cette fameuse tablette, nous savons en revanche que la société Shenzhen Homecare Technology a convenu d’un partenariat avec Nivida.

Maintenant, une autre source affirme également qu’elle a reçu des informations sur la tablette, et que le fournisseur pourrait la lancer d’abord aux États-Unis et au Canada, et par la suite songer à l’Europe de l’Ouest.

Devant le succès des SoC Qualcomm, il semblerait donc que Nvidia ai choisi de s’introduire sur le marché des tablettes et jouer une nouvelle stratégie pour promouvoir sa technologie Tegra.

Alors selon vous, peut-on réellement croire en ces spéculations, ou devons-nous attendre d’autres données avant de prendre des conclusions ?

L’information nous est parvenue il y a peu, et alors que nous vous parlions de la version mobile du GPU Nvidia Kepler, cette fois-ci, il s’agit bel et bien de la venue possible d’une tablette de la marque.

En effet, jusqu’à maintenant, Nvidia a tenté d’intégrer son processeur Tegra, mais les différents constructeurs n’ont pas toujours répondu « présent », et il se pourrait que le fournisseur ai pris la décision de sortir sa propre tablette et faire concurrence au Kindle Fire HD d’Amazon ou à l’iPad Mini.

Très peu de détails sont donnés jusqu’à présent, mais nous pouvons espérer avec cela une mémoire de 2 Go et 16 Go de mémoire de stockage (si ce n’est plus), accompagnés de technologies standards qui équipent les appareils mobiles actuels (WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC) mais nous n’avons pas plus d’informations pour le moment.

Mieux encore, d’autres sources affirment que le fournisseur envisagerait carrément de commercialiser sa propre tablette haut de gamme dotée du dernier processeur Tegra 5 (nom de code Logan).

Pour ne pas vous y perdre, on pourrait alors trouver chez Nvidia deux tablettes, une avec processeur Tegra 4 et une autre avec le dernier Tegra 5, à moins que la suite des évènements vienne dire le contraire.

Cette autre tablette, d’après cette même source, pourrait éventuellement être disponible au cours du premier trimestre de 2014 voir présentée au CES de cette même année, mais nous attendons des fuites ou des confirmations pour dire ce qu’il en est réellement.
