On sait depuis le mois de janvier que Sony travaille sur un phablet actuellement connue sous le nom de code Sony Xperia Togari, toutefois, c’est la première fois qu’on dispose d’autant de détails sur ce nouvel appareil qui devrait prendre le nom commercial de Xperia L4 et en a visiblement assez sous le capot pour concurrencer le Galaxy Note 3.

Evoqué dans la journée par deux sites différents, le Sony Xperia Togari existe, bel et bien, et devrait se doter d’un écran Full HD de 6,44 pouces. Il serait également question d’un stylet, à l’instar de ce que propose déjà Samsung avec sa gamme de phablets Galaxy Note.

Mise à jour Android 4.1.2 pour le Xperia S disponible en France

Conformément à l’annonce faite hier sur le site de Sony, la mise à jour Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean pour le Xperia S est enfin disponible en France, comme vient tout juste de le confirmer Sony Xperia FR, via sa page Twitter. Attendue depuis maintenant un an, cette mise à jour devrait redonner un sacré coup de jeune au modèle haut de gamme de la line-up 2012 de Sony.

Tout comme dans le cas de la mise à jour des Xperia P, Xperia Go et Xperia E Dual, cette mise à jour sous Android 4.1.2 apporte au Xperia S, l’ensemble des nouveautés de Jelly Bean, comme Google Now ou Project Butter, pour ne citer qu’eux, ainsi qu’une série de nouveautés exclusives à Sony. A commencer par une mise à jour majeure des applications Walkman Album et Movies.

Les applications bénéficient, quant à elles, d’un nouveau mode de recherche et d’organisation et la personnalisation de l’appareil s’enrichit de nouveaux thèmes. Enfin, l’intégration du mode STAMINA permet d’améliorer considérablement l’autonomie du smartphone avec un gain d’énergie multiplié par quatre en mode veille.

Bien entendu et c’est le cas à chaque nouvelle mise à niveau de l’OS, cette mise à jour du Xperia S sous Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean se fera donc en plusieurs étape. Ainsi, comme le mentionne le tweet de Sony, elle n’est, pour l’instant disponible que pour les premières builds, par conséquent, si n’avez pas encore, été notifié de son arrivée, ne paniquez pas, ça prendra sans doute encore quelques jours mais ça vaudra le coup d’attendre.

Pour vérifier maintenant l’état de la mise à jour, il vous suffit de lancer le logiciel PC Companion et de raccorder votre smartphone à votre PC.

Xperia S, une mise à jour attendue sous Android 4.1.2 ?

Il se pourrait qu’une mise à jour du Xperia S pour Android 4.1.2 arrive dans les jours qui viennent.

Le site de Sony et plus précisément la fiche du Xperia S vient d’être mise à jour avec des informations plus que déroutantes qui laissent planer le doute sur une possible mise à jour du Xperia S pour Android 4.1.2 . Bonne nouvelle accueillie par la communauté Android mais dont la source n’est pas très sûre puisqu’aucune annonce n’a été faite et qu’une erreur semble avoir été inscrite.

Il y a environ 1 an que sortait le Xperia S, un nouveau smartphone « haut de gamme » inaugurant ainsi une nouvelle ère pour Sony qui continuera ensuite avec le règne du Xperia Z. Premier né d’une longue lignée, fer de lance de la gamme à l’époque, le Xperia S à eut un succès assez satisfaisant quand on considère les ambitions et le statut de Sony sur le marché du smartphone à cette période.

Le Xperia S pourrait passer sur Android 4.1.2 très prochainement

Sur la page de Sony, on peut lire que le dernier firmware disponible pour le Xperia S est celui d’Android 4.1.2 (firmware numéro 6.2.A.0.200) mais pourtant aucun des possesseurs du téléphone en question n’a reçu de notification ou de mise à jour de son OS. Le site indiquant une date de diffusion (release date) au 24 avril 2013, on peut se demander si une erreur ne s’est pas glissée dans le mois inscrit. Il pourrait alors s’agir du 24 mai 2013 soit demain, même si cela pourrait tout aussi bien être le 24 décembre 2013 (voir le 24 avril 2014 ?!).

Le doute reste entier et certains espèrent que se sera bien demain que la mise à jour du Xperia S pour Android 4.1.2 sera diffusée sur le réseau. Si vous êtes vous même possesseur d’un Xperia S, n’hésitez pas à nous transmettre l’information si la mise à jour devait avoir lieu demain.

La Sony Xperia Tablet Z peut aussi filmer sous l’eau [Vidéo]

On savait déjà que, tout comme le Xperia Z, la Sony Xperia Tablet Z était waterproof et résistait, aussi bien aux éclaboussures qu’à l’immersion. Toutefois, ça ne fait jamais de mal de se rassurer avec une petite vidéo de démonstration. Et celle-ci-dessous devrait satisfaire, même les plus sceptiques, quand à la capacité de la dernière tablette du constructeur japonais à résister à l’eau. Une tablette qui, immergée au fond d’un aquarium, parvient même à filmer dans une qualité superbe, des séquences vidéo des poissons qui ravirent autour d’elle, intrigués.

Tandis que pendant les premières minutes de la vidéo, on peut observer un utilisateur de la Sony Xperia Tablet Z, plongeant, sans la moindre inquiétude sa belle tablette dans son aquarium, après avoir pris soin d’activer le mode caméra, le secondes minutes nous restituent les séquences filmées avec l’appareil au fond de l’aquarium.

Bien entendu, compte tenu du caractère waterproof de l’appareil, on n’a pas été surpris de le voir fonctionner au fond de l’eau, toutefois la qualité et la netteté des images filmées ainsi que la vivacité des couleurs font plutôt plaisir à voir.

Conçue dans le même esprit haut de gamme que son acolyte, le Xperia Z, la Sony Xperia Tablet Z lui ressemble aussi bien à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur. Sony Xperia SP policy

Already in March, Sony announces the Xperia range of SP-mid device, but still pretty impressive specifications. Of course, the device is clouded by the Xperia-Z, we were pretty impressed with the hotel during our practical SP but it should give the other any mid range phones a run for their money.

Xperia-SP sports 4.6-inch 720 p "HD reality" and combined with Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine 2, the screen looks super sharp and the colors really pop out when seen from the front. Sony 8MP camera on board the "Exmore RS mobile" to produce some decent photos, thanks to the stacked image sensor. 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip performance seems very quickly and does not experience any lag in the short time of the device. SP's aluminum frame feels good in the hand. It is the thinnest phones, but is still enough to be comfortable.
